The summer months can often bring us lots of joy in the garden - it’s a matter of fact. With all of the garden furniture all set in place and the tables and chairs providing the perfect place to rest, have you stopped to think how much nicer your table may look with a parasol attached to it?

It can protect you and your family from the sun when it is hot, providing that all important shade when it is needed the most. They come in different colours and sizes and you can either use them for the tables or on their own for the garden.

This really is down to personal circumstances, but they certainly can make dining or sipping cocktails outside more enjoyable. A parasol is definitely worth having if you spend quite a lot of time outside in the sun when you are eating or drinking.

Cotton is used for the parasols usually but the best materials to use for them are artificial fibres as they are rot proof. They can also be made out of cane but those ones are harder to take down and in turn will get extremely wet in bad weather.

A good design to go for is an oriental parasol, especially if you like to have an oriental theme in your garden. There really is quite a good selection of parasols available but a lot of people might not even be aware of this fact. It is definitely worth looking around at all of the different types to see if there is one that you really like.

The parasol is not only just for tables but it can also be used as a stand alone one too. This means that it can be easier to transport and use anywhere within the garden. Basically this means that if you fancy reading a book whilst lying on your lawn, you could use the parasol to protect you from the sun.

You can also purchase waterproof parasols which are good to protect you from the rain. Parasols really are worth having as they have a couple of different purposes and can make a world of difference. They are not overly expensive either and you will really be glad you have one during those hot summer months when the sun would usually be burning down on your head!
